Other Religions
Islam, Judaism, religious pluralism, and how God works through all religions.
How should Christians view Judaism?
Christians should view Judaism with profound respect, recognizing their shared spiritual heritage and God's enduring covenant with Israel. While historical choices led to a tragic divide, Judaism's role in preparing for the Messiah and preserving God's word is indispensable. This teaching calls for reconciliation between faiths, repudiating anti-Semitism and replacement theology, to achieve a holistic understanding and realize God's ideal of one family under Him.
How should Christians view Islam?
This teaching views Islam as a crucial providential religion, established by God to restore absolute monotheism, preserve messianic expectation, and foster a civilization for future progress. It recognizes all religions as part of God's ongoing work of restoration, ultimately aiming to unify humanity under a complete understanding of His truth and heart, preparing for the Messiah's return and the establishment of one family under God.
Is Christianity exclusive or inclusive?
Christianity is both inclusive and exclusive. God providentially works through all religions, nurturing partial truths and preparing humanity. However, the Messiah brings the complete truth for humanity's total restoration and the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven. All religions are ultimately meant to unite around this central figure, leading to universal harmony and peace.
