Israel & End Times
Israel's place in providence, the antichrist, Armageddon and the mark of the beast.
What is Armageddon?
Armageddon is understood not as a literal physical battle, but as a symbolic representation of the ultimate ideological and spiritual conflict between good and evil. This teaching clarifies it as the decisive confrontation where God's completed truth, brought by the returning Christ, exposes and overcomes all falsehoods, leading humanity toward a unified, God-centered understanding and ushering in God's Kingdom.
What is the Mark of the Beast?
The Mark of the Beast, as described in Revelation, is a spiritual symbol, not a literal physical imposition. It signifies an internal commitment to fallen, anti-God ideologies in one's thoughts and actions. The number 666 represents the maximum degree of imperfection, falling short of God's ideal. It serves as a providential warning for humanity in the Last Days to choose allegiance to God's will over Satan's dominion.
What is the Antichrist?
The Antichrist is not solely a future individual but a pervasive spiritual force that opposes God's will and truth, manifesting through ideologies, institutions, and individuals. It actively obstructs God's providence and central figures, historically seen in religious leaders who rejected Jesus and in atheistic materialism. Rooted in the Fall of Man, it is Satan's influence perpetuating spiritual ignorance. Victory over this spirit is an ongoing process of establishing God's Kingdom through aligning with divine principles and new revelation.
What is the significance of Israel in God's plan?
Israel's significance lies in its role as God's chosen nation, initially purposed to establish the foundation for the Messiah. Despite failures, particularly rejecting Jesus, God's providence shifted to "spiritual Israel" (Christians). The re-establishment of the physical nation of Israel is a sign for the Last Days, with the ultimate "true Israel" defined by faith and adherence to God's truth, not ethnicity, to bring universal salvation.
