Prophecy & Fulfillment
How prophecy is written, the messianic prophecies, and whether we are in the end times.
What are the Messianic prophecies and did Jesus fulfill them?
Messianic prophecies include both spiritual fulfillments, which Jesus accomplished through his suffering and spiritual salvation, and physical fulfillments, such as world peace and a unified kingdom. The latter were deferred due to humanity's rejection of Jesus and the failure of human responsibility. God’s providence respects human free will. Complete physical fulfillment awaits the Messiah's Second Coming, when the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth will be established.
Are we living in the end times?
We are in the "end times" not as the world's destruction, but as the culmination of God's providence to end the fallen world order and establish God's Kingdom. This period is marked by the Second Coming of Christ, who comes in the flesh to fulfill the mission of True Parents, establishing a sinless lineage and bringing spiritual and physical salvation to humanity.
How do we interpret Biblical prophecy?
Biblical prophecy requires contextual reading, careful interpretation of symbols, and attention to human responsibility. A restoration-centered interpretation understands messianic glory and suffering as conditional alternatives shaped by acceptance or rejection. Nineveh, Moses, and John the Baptist illustrate responsible discernment. Prophecy should inspire repentance, tested hope, and practical participation in restoration.
